Forza Horizon 6’s virtual slice of Japan is a dream come true for JDM fans, especially if you have a soft spot for the iconic Nissan Skyline legacy. Among the various secrets scattered across the map, playground games has hidden two absolute legends as Barn Finds: the classic 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R and the legendary 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R.
If you are hunting for these cars, you won't be able to just drive up to the barns on day one. Here is exactly how to unlock the rumors and find their precise locations on the map.
The Unlock Blueprint: Stamp Levels Explained
Before you head out to the countryside, you need to trigger the actual Barn Find rumors. Forza Horizon 6 ties these to your Discover Japan campaign progression.
Level Up Your Stamp: You need to earn progression points by finishing the yellow Horizon Story markers, winning road or technical touge races, smashing regional mascots, or purchasing player houses.
The Waiting Game: Once you find a barn, the car goes to your garage for restoration. You can pay credits to rush the process, but the best way is to just keep playing, racing, and exploring—it will finish for free before you know it.
1. Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (1971)
This is the grandfather of the GT-R lineage, known affectionately as the "Hakosuka" (Boxy Skyline). It is the perfect car for cruising down tight mountain passes.
Campaign Requirement
You must first advance your Discover Japan campaign to Level 3 (Traveller), which unlocks the Blue Stamp. Once the stamp is active, the rumor circle will appear over the southwest corner of the map.
Step-by-Step Directions
Open your map and look at the far southwestern border of the Nangan Region. Locate the main north-south road running right along the coast/border.
Look for a highly technical, windy mountain road that intersects this main western road right near the middle of the region.
Head to that specific intersection and turn onto the dirt path leading west.
Follow this dirt track down the hill. Keep your car on the main path and ignore the fork that splits off to the right.
Follow it to the bottom of the slope. The barn is tucked away directly behind a small cluster of houses.
2. Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R (1998)
If you grew up playing classic racing games, this yellow-and-black JGTC (Japan GT Championship) weapon needs no introduction. It is an absolute powerhouse and a must-have for track racing.
Campaign Requirement
This one takes a bit more legwork. You need to reach campaign Level 4 (Pathfinder) to unlock the Pink Stamp.
Step-by-Step Directions
Head to the Takashiro Region, which sits in the central area of the map.
Look at your world map and find the Day Trip Horizon Story icon located on the western side of Takashiro.
Just south of that story mission marker, you will spot a very prominent, sharp asphalt hairpin turn snaking up the mountain.
Drive to the southwest corner of this specific hairpin turn.
Instead of following the asphalt, leave the road and drive straight off-road up the hill, facing eastward.
Keep climbing the hillside slope; the barn is nestled right into the middle of the grassy incline.
Grab your favorite off-roader, unlock those stamps, and go claim two of the finest pieces of Nissan history in Horizon 6. Happy hunting!
